Tarmin Announces New Executive Hire Bill Basinas
Basinas Rejoins Tarmin as VP of Solution Engineering
BOSTON, Mass. - August 12, 2015 – Tarmin Inc., a global pioneer of Data Defined Storage solutions, is pleased to announce that Bill Basinas has rejoined Tarmin as Vice President of Solution Engineering. Basinas was part of the early team that developed and marketed Tarmin’s Data Defined Storage solution, GridBank and business strategy, he brings with him more than 30 years of experience in the industry.
Basinas first joined Tarmin in 2008, as Vice President of Technical Services, where he built successful field technician teams and expanded Tarmin’s service and support offerings to customers throughout North America. In 2010, Basinas left Tarmin and spent several years working for Hewlett-Packard and EMC where he successfully created, managed and grew technical sales teams across multiple technology sectors with an emphasis in the Data Storage Management software and hardware sales organizations. Prior to joining Tarmin, Bill served as the Director of Technical Product Marketing for the Enterprise and Mid-Range Systems Division at EMC. Prior to EMC, Bill was involved in the successful acquisition of Legato and Avamar by EMC, during this period, he was responsible for leading the pre-sales organizations. Bill has spent several years in the startup space, helping develop and market leading edge storage and software based storage technologies and solutions to the marketplace.
